Booo you stupid marketing bastids

If you live in/near Detroit (or even if you don't) you most likely know of the huge painting of whales on that one building.


Now they are going to cover it up with huge banner advertisements so they can afford to convert the building to condos/appartments. :thumbdown:

No, it's outrageous. That painting is beautiful. When I think of Detroit I usually think of the RenCen and that building. I'm sure people would rather see that than an ever-changing humongous banner ad.

The Toronto SkyDome was recently re-named The Rogers Center after the Rogers phone company bought it. I think it's disgusting that someone would have the balls to buy a piece of a city and put thier stupid name on it.

I was just thinking about this earlier today as I was watching the Jays' highlights... and I feel ya buddy.

Stupid rogers... what a shitty name... Skydome is what it always was and always will be in my heart.
