Pipe Cleaning Tips

I have a small pipe, about 2-3 inches long. Very small and easy to transport and such. (now that i think of it I should post a picture but I am too lazy). But I have encountered a problem recently. At times the pipe gets so clogged, that it is literally impossible to smoke out of. When I try to inhale through it when the bowl is empty, it seems air tight. I have solved the problem by taking monster rez hits, but the problem keeps on coming back. I also tried cleaning it out the pipe with Q-tips, but that still doesnt solve the problem.

Any Suggestions?

Put the pipe in a bunch of 99% rubbing alcohol and leave it for a while, swishing it around from time to time.

99% iso and salt works great.

Or you can get yourself a bottle of Formula 420, which does wonders on ANY glass :wink:

the formula 420 is great, if I had money to blow and glass to clean I'd use it.

It also doesn't have the reek of iso. Nice stuff.

After cleaning do you wash it with water or just let it air dry?

Definitely run some water through it after using formula 420 or 99% iso. Hot water will also dislodge chunks you might be having probs with.

Just put some water on the stove, bring to a boil, put the pipe in some metal tongs and hold it in the water and every minute or so shove a q-tip in it and get that shit out. (That is if you don't want to smoke the resin).

If you want to save the resin, I find a straightened out hairpin works GREAT for scraping the inside of the pipe clean. You can bend the pin into different shapes to get around corners and such.

99% isopropal and salt always worked wonders for me and all my glass pieces.  Just let is sit in the solution for a few hours and then run some hot water through it and its as good as new.  I love smokin out of a newly cleaned bowl, it's like getting a new piece all over again  :yesnod:
