quick question on space

im looking for a good informational site on astronomy. i googled it but could not find anything. could someone help me out?

This probably isn't exactly the type of site you're looking for but I suggest checking out Astronomy Picture of the Day. Each day there is a new pic accompanied by an explanation with lots of links and such.

i think there's a pretty decent chunk of info on the BBC's Science section somewhere.. i'm too lazy to dig for it but I'm sure it's not hard to find.
