growin salvia cuttings?

i have a salvia cutting here from my plant and its witherin and its leaves startin to turn black on the sides, its in water.

how did you root it.... you need to make a humidity dome for the cutting... put it in moist to wet soil in a pot with a freezer bag over it and a rubberband to hold the bag airtight... it should maintain itself for at least 1.5 weeks at which time it should have rooted.. rooting horomone is also good for promoting root growth.. after like 1.5-2 weeks you can either take the bag off or just put a few holes in it to let it slowly become used to less humidity.. black on leaves is too much moisture on leaves.. i would occasionally mist the cutting but it got the black leaves..i havent misted it since and i have no black leaves now... i got my cutting from mark at mjb and these are pretty much his directions for rooting a cutting... worked well for me....

I also have this problem, some of my cuttings started to get black spots, then turned black slow, then rotted. But since only about 5% of my cutings do this i dont mind.

I doubt it has to do with humidity because all my cuttings had best possible humidity (at least the best i could give em). I think it could be some kind of "contamination" that lets them rot, perhaps the knive i took the cuttings with was not clean enough.

to much moisture will rot the leaves and stems more is not better peace
