Anyone ever done it b4? I dont see why it wouldn't help to have microscopic chunks of horse poo floating around in ur culture.

It is nicer if it is fully clear liquid so you can see what stage of growth you are at clearly, and to see if anything looks like contamination. If you are making a weak shit tea that you will decant off the sediment it should work well, but also add some dextrose/glucose

There's a thread in adv. cult. concerning this topic, here.
To whoever said "water + crap = mess", I wonder whether they've actualy tried this - there was nothing messy about it.
I purposefully added non-strained/un-filtered tea in there - so sediment floats around when you swirl/shake; and the tea does cause the water to be more murky, but it's really not that big a deal. I think it'll be worth it. It's no darker than honey, and no murkier than LC w/ yeast added.
I did this w/ 90ml distilled h20 to 10ml compost tea w/ 7ml light karo.

I'd cut back on the karo a tad bit.
like 4cc's for that amount.

Yeah, it works really well - plus you can just squeeze or bend back the nipple just below the filter when shaking/aerating and when drawing up the LC to keep the polyfill from getting wet/saturated.
See the baby bottle tek.

I think I just might have learned that the hard way...
But 100ml h20 to 7ml karo makes approx. 4.7% karo... not too far from 4% - plus I'm still wondering whether that 4% rule is for sugar, or for karo. The karo syrup I used was only 30% sugar - so I would have needed to use a lot more karo than just 7ml in order to toxify my LC jar... I think...
