Welcome to the Shroomery!  :mushroom2:

Kind of hard to tell in those pics, but the gray spot in the middle could be cobweb.  Is it long/stringy/whispy...moreso than the surrounding mycelium?

If so you got cobweb.  You can also try taking it out of the jar and spraying the spot with hydrogen peroxide, but this might inteoduce new contams to the cake.  If it is cobweb, the cobweb will shrivel under the h2o2 mist.

Good luck.

Looks like weak mycelium to me. You'll know for sure in a day probably. If it's cobweb, it will spread unbelievably fast throughout your jar and look unmistakibly different (like DirtyHippie described--long, stringy, whispy, filamentous grey growth). I strongly encourage you NOT to remove from the jar for H2O2 treatment, you'll just make a mess.

So..how's it doing after a day? Did it turn out to be myc. or cobweb?
