The Ignore Feature.

What I don't get is that if someone ignores me on the boards, they can still send me an irritating PM, and I can't respond to it. I'm not even saying I shouldn't be able to respond to it, I'm saying if they're ignoring me they shouldn't be able to PM me. Just a thought.

Sounds reasonable, but if we implemented this, they could unignore you, send you a PM and ignore you again......

If you're ignoring someone, then it's you who is ignoring him not the other way around. Thus you're ignoring his PM's, but he is not ignoring yours unless he puts you on ignore. Just like with posts - if you're ignoring somebody, it doesn't mean he's not able to read your posts.

Why are you reiterating my point? It's annoying to get a PM from someone who's ignoring you, and not be able to respond.
