Yo fellow washington state mushroom pickers. I have been pretty lazy about welcoming in this mushroom season, perhaps because the weather has not been very great for production but alas. Anyway its getting colder and it actually rained quiet a bit today so maybe well get some fruitings here soon. We should set up a group outing and hunt some libs here in the next coupla weeks ehh. People keep emailing me wanting to go for hunt so i say we just bust this shit out. It would be pretty fun to get a few people out there hunting for the first time. What you guys think bout that?

hell yah man, haha today on my way home i found a patch with like 5 different kind of mushrooms, and i realised, WOW, i am DEFINATLY not ready for this mushroom season yet because i have no idea what kind any of them are...

Heya!

I'll be moving to Seattle this weekend from the other side of the mountains (around yakima). I'm going to be going to the U and I'm hoping to do a little picking when I have time (a lot actually :p ). I'd be up for a hunt with some fellow shroomerites sometime. Keep me updated if you guys make any plans.

I'm seeing all kinds of other mushrooms though! A. pantherina on Monday! Yeeha! Hehe!
Man, it was cold as hell when I left work an hour ago! Perfect weather for some of the caramel caps! Libs might be poking up too! I gotta help a friend move into a new house for the next few days, but afterwards I'm gonna search a few fields.
Yeah, let me know when a good time will be to do the Skagit Valley Dance! hehe!

I do think it is anit-OJ weather right now, man! Hehe!
I seriously doubt that anyone has found Ps. cyanescens yet this season! It's only Oct. 2 and has rained very little. Also, the temps have been in the 40s at night and low to mid 70s during the day! I believe it wold be hard for even Ps. semilanceata to grow right now! You know?!

We had that one good day of rain like a week ago with some pretty low temps, that brought up a small amount of semi's but they didnt keep growing, i picked semi's on two occasions this last week but it wasnt many specimens and conditions obvoiously arent ideal as i found pan subs on both occasions as well, something that i have never found before. I agree Levi that nobody could have possilby picked any cyans yet this year, except maybe if they had a patch way up in the hills, i was just out in glacier washington which is right before baker and it was fucking cold and wet as shit out there, to bad i was to stoned to find some fields to check for liberty caps back there, that woulda been glorious. Oh well, the cycle continues ehh. The way things are going its gonna be really cold and really wet and then all the fungus will explode into a smorgishborg (never used that word before =)) of semis, cyans and all the other wonderful psilo's this wonderful land produces.

cardboard and Levi7-not to be a contradictory asshole but someone has found cyans already. I know it's early but with that cold shock a week or two ago and a good location it is possible. I found some on the 1st and have been watching them since. here's one a slug nailed last night, assuming this image posts.
