Cardboards first psilo find of the year (pics)
    #935214 - 10/06/02 04:49 AM (20 years, 2 months ago)

Well it was an exceptionally dry summer and i stand by my claims that it will definetly cut down on the fruits this fall. Anyway i checked like 5 semilanceata fields and came up with nothing so i cruised down to my old faithful stunzii/baeocystis spot. I thought there was nothing fruiting there either untill i noticed a single ps baeocystis not more than a few days old chillin by the curb between a baby alder and some other weed. Hehe pretty odd to just find one mushroom but still after a dry summer it was still great to see.

Congrats card.

I gotta ask a newbie question. When I'm looking on wood chips, will I be more likely to find anything in a shady area or would an area with lots of sun exposure be a better bet?

It doesnt really make much difference other than that shady areas will retain moisture longer than areas that get hit by the sun. Then again nothing ever really gets much sun during the fall in washington.

Thanks for getting that pic up for me GG, your a good man.

Those baeos look similar to some weilii that I've found.

How's the baeo's potency?

Check this out! 7 days of rain predicted starting on Oct. 12th...

Here comes the rain.

Also the temp will be dropping next week. Maybe we'll get some cyans.

Moe, if you take the time to read my original post you will know they are baeocsystis, well i should say IT is a baeocsystis.
Oj, If you found 5 liberty caps last week then you are not doing bad at all for this season =)
Gumby, yes they do look somewhat similar to the weilli, they turn crazy blue upon picking and have that same kinda wavy yet downturn real rough looking caps. If my digi wasnt such a crapper i could take some good photos but alas.

Nice baeo Carboard! I found a pot plant growing between a curb and a sidewalk downtown this year...it was pretty cool, I will have to post the pic. Anyways good luck on this falls hunt.

Cheers

Yes I will post it when I get it developed...as we speak it is sitting in a glass of water growing out it's roots, doing very well I might add...or so my best friends man tells me.

Cheers

Right on dude!

I still haven't run into anything yet down here in seattle, but I haven't been looking too hard yet.  I gotta get to it I guess, it seems things are beginning to pop up.  I did find a tree trunk covered with laughing gyms up towards stampede pass this afternoon though, which was mildly cool, but I want some psilocybes :P.  Good hunting bro .

well at the moment there are 2 parks with fruitful patches. 1 is an old standby, the other I just located this year. Moved down to seattle from b'ham to work. b'ham is still too dry, was just up there and it needs a week or 2. in 2 weeks max all my spots should be booming with boomers! got about a qp of dry cyans already, and left about a hundred pins this morning to come back to.
your baeo spot has the initials w.b doesnt it?
wanna go to oregon in a couple of weeks? I will be there as much as possible
