They should make psychedelic research legal.

Like actual lab experiments by doctors and such.. at least then everyone coudl benefit from absolutely true knowledge. I have heard like 10 different varying responses to many different questions.
I wish they would make it legal to do research on these drugs, that way it's not just a bunch of propaganda bullshit... like the fucking orange juice guy story, i don't know how many times i've heard that.

It is legal provided you have all the proper permit's,grants,
approvals and licenses.
Alot of red tape ,but people are actually doing it right now in the US.
interested, get a degree and hop on board. :sun:

ahhhh.. i didnt know that. sorry, i just assumed. I should have made sure first before i made this post.. but i was 99% sure considering the huge lack of research from what i've seen. pretty much every article about the effects of psychs just says "very little to no research has been done in this area.

in the book "The spirit molecule"  he was talking about all the stuff he had to do to be able to legally research dmt

it was fucking insane how much he had to go through, how many people he had to talk to, how much time he had to wait, and how many rules he had to manuever around....he called the chapter about it the labyrinth (i think) cause its a huge maze of rules you have to find your way through to be able to

its possible to do research, but seems the government doenst want people to and puts tons of barracades to ward off all but a very few of the most determined

I think the Psilocybin research at Arizona will lighten things up some.
Not only are they re-establishing saftey of the research, but it's showing promising results. Through science we can prove the truth and thats our best chance.

This area needs lots of support. I'm working on my PhD just to be able to have the chance to possibly help out.

Thanks to the people of MAPS and Dr. Nichols ,Strassman, ext. this area hasn't been able to be totaly suppressed. There is a ton of red tape to cut through, but these long time scientist/activists are proving it's possible.
We just need more younger people to get involved. It is a big commitment.
But the worst that can happen if you can't get involved is you end up with a doctorate in a field that interests you.

This is what i know..

It's a very strong trip, comes in little orange sweet tasting crystals, lasts 30-60 minutes, and people see gnomes or aliens a lot of times.. thats about it. i dont know any of the properties of the trip, or what it compares to. I also heard sometimes peoplea re seen with beams of light coming out of their eyes and mouth, or they talk to aliens.

That's all I know, some of that probably isn't even right.

How about that it is produced by our bodies, and is found in most living species. Theorized to be released at two intense periods of your life cycle; birth, and death. He connects things, such as NDE's (Near-Death-Experiences), with the trips of high dose DMT sessions. He administers the substance to 60 volunteers, and records their trips. The similarities are stunning, and none of them ever spoke with each other; by that I mean they had very similar trips. Hard to explain in a post.

He did human research with DMT and Psilocybin in the early 90's. The book follows the process of getting the research moving, how it was done and it's results.

They should make psychedelics legal period, whether for research, recreation or medicine.

There's so much potential in the evil chemicals the War on Drugs stomps all over, it's almost sickening. Luckily, nothing that requires so much money, energy and focus and still loses can go on indefinitely, and we may see a point when the war on drugs can no longer be sustained.

For all practical purposes, psychedelics are mostly impossible to study for research, as has been pointed out. It takes so much for just a study that most scientists and doctors don't bother.

Those that do, like Shulgin and Strassman, are true heroes to pursuit of knowledge though. Shulgin especially has contributed so much it's almost unbelievable what one determined scientist can create with a DEA license.
