1) You got the moisture content right. For future references, 1 part BRF, 2 parts verm and 1 part water. 2) Not "too" tight. The substrate needs to breathe. 3) Steaming won't dry your substrate. Excessive pressure cooking will.

Maybe you didnt shake your syringe inbetween innoculations and spores didnt get to all areas of the substrate equally. darkfly

Cobweb mold rarely infects jars. Yes, it's possible, although unlikely. Cobweb is grey, not white.

yea and i bet you end up with only about a half a cake too..lol
