Does anyone have any info on the effects of a mag. field on growing mushrooms? Both water and psill- are polar, and should line up in a magnetic field.
This could facillitate the mushroom'm metablism, or hinder it. I am biased towards the former, but this is pure conjecture.

You sound like the expert here.
I would do three batches.
The first batch without magnets, the second batch posative, and the third batch negative. Then post your results and how you achived this. Who knows you may be on to the next breakthru of cultivation

Very interesting idea. On this page it says that the south pole or positive magnetic field accelerates microorganism growth. However this information comes from a page that is supporting magnetic therapy so I don't know how accurate it is. I also found a couple of pages suggesting that magnetic fields inhibit fungal growth. So I don't know what to beleive.
It sounds like it would be worth a shot just to see what happens. Mabey make a major discovery and win the Nobel Prize for hallucenagnic drug reasearch.

Use quartz, they have very subtile magnetic power, but are composed of carbon, which is the same things living this "people and mushrooms" are made out of. Quartz next to the terrium has worked well for me......
of course i'm totally insane, but that's besides the point

I think its dumb when people say video games effect kids negatively.
I mean, if Pac-Man effected us, we'd all hang out in dark rooms, muching pills, and listening to repetitive music.

I love the idea of a Shroomery nobel prize. Everyone could vote (when they are handing out the nobels) about the best ideas in several catogries, and the everyone could send the winner spores . . .

I'm in the process of re-starting, and only ahve 1/day a week to do anything, but I'll let y'all know what happens.
