Anyone Else Like Country Music?

I have been starting to listen to all the country stations in my car and kinda while i am at work and i am kinda starting to get into it. I like how all the songs tell a type of story. I don't really like the older stuff they play but the new guys like Kenny Chesney and Brad Paisley i kinda like. Anyone else?

The only country I can get into is real old country, and country-inspired rock like Wilco or Okkervil River.

Does a cow shit in a field? Well thats my answer. I got a red neck and blue caller.
If you consider fast food hitting a deer at 65 mph you might be a redneck.
I go to the haunky tonk every sunday night, line dance and ride the mechanical bull, fawkin bad ass time, and some of the finest tang around good ole country girls are the best.

I like the Ween 12 Golden Country Greats album. Even if you really don't like country please give this one a listen.
Then there is the all time classic-Poncho & Lefty.
Last but not least.....The Man in Black...He really needs no introduction....
I like Folsom Prison Blues.
Aside from stuff like that, no country for me, IMO these contemporary "Country Singers" aint real country singers at all, just a bunch of douche-bag-poseurs out to make a buck.

Ineed they are. That album(and most other Ween albums for that matter) is musical genius in so many ways.

Yes they do. I caught them on the 2004 fall tour on October 12th in Eugene at the McDonald Theatre, Great show!! hahaha, They didn't even finish the tour. The were supposed to head out to the midwest, alas they ended the tour in California. It seems the west coast really put a hurtin to Gener(mentally/physically/too HQ of Drugs???),the band claimed an intervention was necessary, and all Gener does now is yoga and painting. It's all good, I hope he finds himself in a better place if he hasn't already by now, it has been a while.

I saw em in the fall and they were all well, unless that was at the begining of the tour that ended in burn out.

If you saw em in Cali, Oregon, Washington, or Alaska, you saw em before they got burned.

I like some "alternative country" like Robert Earl Keen, Cross Canadian Ragweed and the Lost Trailers-- I'm not a huge fan of most of the country out there though

I've never been really big into Country-Western, but I've actually been quite suprised at how much I like hatta's Bluegrass show on Shroomery Radio.

blue grass is like the roots of country even more so then classic country. The fundamental instroments all play a part in todays stuff, just played by a progesive new generation. Key instroments being, fiddle, mandoline, banjo, dobro, steal guitar, and stand up base.
My love for those instroments got me into bluegrass, country, rockabilly, and psychobilly.
