Police have said that so far they have not established a paramilitary connection to the seizure of drugs with a street value of ?750,000.

Cocaine and ecstasy were found during searches of two houses in the Parkmore area of Craigavon in County Armagh.

A number of weapons and ammunition were also uncovered in a wheeled bin and coal-bunker along with a substantial sum of money.

A man was arrested and another cautioned in connection with the raids.

The police believe the drugs were destined for the north Armagh area.

They comprised a kilogram of cocaine, 12 kilograms of cannabis resin, 1 kilogram of herbal cannabis, 130,000 ecstasy tablets, 7,000 LSD tablets and 20,000 pharmaceutical drugs.

The weapons seized on Tuesday were two handguns, a hand-made shotgun, a stungun, replica firearm and about 500 rounds of ammunition.

A substantial amount of cigarettes was also seized.
