Secure server not working?

Right now the lock icon is there, unobstructed. But I will bet you dollars to donuts that it will have a red line through it when I go to the main index or into OTD or another forum. Any reason? Thanks.

It works okay for me and nothing has changed on the site which I think would cause this. Is anyone else having the same problem?

The other day i was bumped (during a transfer from one SSL link to here) into a regular connection.
I added the s, and it went all yellowish, but the mushroom icon doesn't really tell me if anythings locked :tongue:

It's still doing it.  My bar is yellow, the lock icon is there, but has a red line through it.  Interestingly, when I click to "main menu" from a forum and the page is loading, the icon is unobstructed.  Then when the page is loaded, the red line goes through it.  The same thing happens when I go from the main menu into a given forum.

Oh are you talking about the lock icon in Firefox? I always assumed the red line was part of the icon. It shows up the same way for my online bank sites, etc. If you double-click the icon you'll see the page's status. For me it says:

Content encrypted: High-grade Encryption (AES-256 256 bit)

It also says our certificate was verified by Equifax. I don't see any indication the SSL isn't working (except for the confusing icon).

OH!  Thanks, man!  It does switch between a normal lock icon and then the red line in firefox.  Oh well.  I was certain my computer had been hacked and all secure server access disabled.  :smirk:

/me runs to Sam's Club to buy a big box of donuts for the admins.

UPDATE:

I downloaded some software that takes care of certain search engine advertisements. Now the red slash that was through the lock is gone. WTF?? Everything is as it was before, in the beginning, before all this red line madness.
