What did I do wrong to these hard boiled eggs?!?

My hard boiled eggs are impossible to shell, the yoke is dark yellow, and they taste so strong! Did I boil them too long? not long enough? I don't know how long i boiled them, I forgot about them. oops :bitch: :doh: :projectile:

Actually, I think I undercooked them. I think this for two reasons. 1. raw eggs taste strong and nasty and these taste nasty. and 2. the consistency of the whites is relatively thin and soft, like thick jello.

i make a awsome soft boiled egg (just the yoke is a little wet still)

Just bring a pot to boil...drop eggs in(softly) and turn the heat off. Wait 5 minutes then take them out.

Try it(cooking times may vary)

You undercooked them. Overcooked yolks start to turn green.

Do this:

1) Put eggs in tap water in a pot.
2) Bring to a boil. When they boil, shut off the element.
3) Cover them, wait ten minutes, then remove them from the stovetop and put them into a bowl of ice water. This will arrest further cooking and make it easier to shell them.
