what to do with contaminated mycobags?
    #3912245 - 03/13/05 04:08 PM (19 years, 19 days ago)

So 3/4 of my mycobags have small green spots in isolated areas. Mycobag has replaced them for me because they are the best company ever but now i can't figure out what to do with them. They are like 1/2 colonized each. Should I try to fruit them? or jst pitch em. Theres got to be something they are good for.

The best thing you can do for your future grows is throw them out right now.

I agree...Some peeps will tell you to try and extract the good parts, :blah:

It took me forever to get rid of it, best advice i can give you is to chuck it a.s.a.p OR to do an outdoor grow with it and not have any high expectations...Gl

hmmmmm outdoor grow eh?
Well here in Illinois it is pretty cold. Do you think it might work now or could I just keep them somewhere until it warms up.

It's too cold for an outdoor Cubensis grow in Illinois.  Don't stow away bags of trich infested substrate, that's just asking for reproduction of millions of spores that will put future grows in jeopardy, big time!

It's done, throw it out.  :frown:

I had some cakes that started showing contam signs...

I dug a hole in my backyard, sterilyzed some Pf sub, mixed the white (from the contamed jars..i cut out the infection like cancer and put salt on it to try and kill it)...) with the sterilyzed sub...put it in the hole, covered with a lil bit more sub. and covered...Nothing ever really happened with it, but it was kool
lol , good luck
