i think salvia is good indoors but you might wanna check on that. I got a tobacco and a tomato plant growing hydroponically in a window that faces north. amazingly both are massive (tomato is ~12 ft and tobbaco is 6ft)

Yeah, tomato plants grow fast and you get tomatos.

Peas and beans are easy to grow too.

So is marijuana.

Wow, Eightball, would you show us some pics or go into more detail about your set-up?

Sally does well indoors and can grow fast if you take care of her.

Carnivorous plants can be fun to grow, some of them require a bit of attention and planning though.

Might want to try coffea arabica, sensitive plant, or sanskevaria. Jade plants are easy to take care of too.

Find a Kalanchoe (sp)
ALso known as "mother of Thousands"
Those are some interesting plants, and they reproduce by dropping baby clones off their leaves.
They don't die either......the only way i've gotten one to kick off (aside from total neglect) was accidentally leaving a window open and freezing it solid.

What about Fruit trees? so rewarding.
depends on your climate though

multi graft trees are great i.e Stone fruit combo of nectarines/apricots or a Citrus one - which could be something like oranges/mandarins or maybe lemons/grapefruit...i get excited just thinking about them
Many combination exist these days.

other than that i'd say Calea zacatechichi and Bacopa monnieri - Dream herb and Brahmi.

just my 2c

Hum all plants are pretty, I am growing some saliva, but I started some morning glories and I am going to start some other flowers. I am just trying exotic flowers, like the golden trumpet, oriental lillies, birds of paridise, etc. I want more information on this Wax Flower plant that dies if a human touches it. It just sounds so cool and exotic!

Might I suggest "Miracle Fruit"?

It's a small tree (depending on how you treat it) and it has a nifty little trick. If you eat the fruit everything will taste sweet for a while, even a lemon. It's really cool!

Its scientific name is Synsepalum dulcificum in case you're wondering.

There's the "Mimosa Pudica."

It's this cool little plant where it's leaves close up instantly when touched or exposed to flame. They re-open within minutes.

Fan-like leaves with very pretty flowers.

Check ebay, they have seeds.
