My poppy seedlings are dying
    #3903840 -

Hello, all.

I germinated some persian whites and planted them in a large pot, and they recently came up looking pretty healthy. I'm watering them regularly, they're outside under shelter but they get some sun everyday. They were doing fine until yesterday when two of the three suddenly wilted. It was pretty warm yesterday, about 80 F, and I seem to recall poppies like cool weather. Did they get scorched? Should I bring them indoors? Do they still need lots of sun? Maybe too much water?

Indoors wouldnt help, the problem is most def heat problems, or overcrowding. Unlike the latter stages of growth, poppy seedlings are VERY fragile and sensitive, they wont survive if stress is given.

They're not big enough to be overcrowded, I don't think. They're just itty bitty things. Should I make sure they're in the shade constantly?

They like full sunlight, but dont like hot temps. Should have planted them in the fall.

carefull when you water the, their roots are uber sensitive, try watering with a mist bottle instead of pouring water.
