nothing can possibly be more frightening... most likely you wont have a problem
with them obtaining a warrant but it would be a good idea to have what ever moved
to a diffreent location, better safe than sitting in jail.

actualy it may better prove that not all cops are assholes and some are very well
aware of the 'dangers' of most drugs, probably half the cops in the US oppose
the majority of drug laws and as more and more young officers get involved fewer
will be enforcing them... I've been caught a few times with a joint in my hand
and the cops simply said 'dont let me catch you again'

cops really arent the enemy, the unjust laws are, almost half the drug arrests
for small amounts generaly have some other factor like a warrant or someone with
a shit attitude that is a catylist in the arrest.

Ever consider those cops might have known or guessed, but just didn't want to go to the trouble for a guy with just a couple of shrooms? Not all cops agree that all drugs should be banned. If you'd had pot, they'd have HAD to bust you - if word gets back on something like that, they're in trouble; no way to cover themselves. But with shrooms, they have an excuse: "I had no idea they were THAT kind of mushroom, sir".

Agreed.. Cops aren't the problem, it's the laws they enforce. Back in the day, I've toked up with a number of the local popo.. Most understand that To Protect, and Serve, isn't to hassle, and sweat people. They want real criminals, doing real crime. Best thing you can do is treat them like fellow humans, and have a sense of humor. Of course knowing your rights is a given...

Still a pants shitting experience I'm sure... Gratz on pulling through.. At best unless it was like a pound of shrooms, they would think they are for your personal use, and not being grown. And had they reasonable cause, you wouldn't be here, or you would be without your mushies... Still a little paranoia goes a long way bro..

Well i think it does at the very least show that the cop was perhaps more unfamiliar with the drug than he 'should' have been or whatever...perhaps dumb was too harsh a word. BUT, he *didn't* say are you going to trip on those, or eat those (initially)... Possibly he knew they were psychedelic but he obviously doesn't know anything about the injestion of them, and yes, quite likely he doesn't really care enough to let it bother him. Which makes me highly highly doubt they'd take out a search warrant for furthur investigation...

No, they left you with the shrooms. You don't give the evidence back to the person if your gonna get a warrent, ("hey crack junky here's your rocks back but if you would please stay here with em till I get my warent"). The cop forgot about the shrooms before he pulled away from the curve.  :thumbup:

Cops dont have to bust anyone. I saw on the show cops this guy and his family was there way to a funeral (yeah right) and the guy had a oz of weed and the sherrif made him stomp the pot into the dirt and sent them on there way.

I know a simular story.

One of my friends was at the Burien Park and Ride(bus stop) and he was sitting on a bench minding his own business and the cops show up.

They ask him to come over to the car...he does.

They ask him where he has been for the past few hours.
He tells them "Downtown Seattle drinking at a bar...and that he is on his way home...waiting for his next bus".

Seems there was some robberies that evening in the area and that he fit the description of the suspect.  :crazy:

So they make him empty out his pockets...all of them.

He has 2 oz's of Cubensis all 1/8th'd out...on him.  :crazy:  :crazy:
The cops are like "what is this?".
His response..."food, dried mushrooms".

They run a check on him for warrants...nothing came back.
He was sweating bullets!~
They released him.

Cops don't always know much about the magic mushrooms.
