Mom's random comments

Well here I am, 2 months since I last drank alcohol, quite proud, telling mom and telling her how bad it is and how happy I am I don't drink it. OUt of no where she just tells me "I don't like you being interested in drugs" with the random "you better live long" comment and some palmistry trying to make me paranoid about my future....kind of aggravating, i'm looking into burning off those lines right now, although I think just moving away very far would be best. I REALLY hate these random comments especially when they come out of no where after she's always been the more accepting person in the family.

So you're going to move far away from your mom who loves you so so you can be a drug addict?  :what:  That makes no sense to me. 

She's not pushing her shit all over you, she just said "I don't like you being interested in drugs".... It's not un uncommon thing for parents to worry about the trouble that thier kids get into.

Yeah, my mom says the weirdest stuff when we're drunk.

Without mentioning denial, I'll say that the whole topic is one that she would probably rather avoid. Of course she's happy that you're not drinking, but just to hear her son talk about drugs and alcohol might be difficult for her. Sometimes moms think they're somehow to blame (to whatever degree) when they're sons have these kinds of problems.

naw, i'm alright now, just came so out of no where I was a tad bitter.
