My buddies parents (Old Hippies) Throw all thier roaches into a huge coffee can then when they run out (Hardly Ever) The just undo and reroll a joint or two of roaches. It's pretty awesome. They actually have 1 whole can and 1/2 of another.

Heh.. I rolled up a couple spliffs in the circle today.. there was this big dude from Kentucky (leg humper..) who asked what he was supposed to do with the roach.. we told him to eat it. Lit. the motherfucker did, twice. It was unbelievable.

I tend to go through phases. Sometimes I save em and make roach blunt. Other times, I just chuck em, or I stick em in the bong if im at my friends house as a gift.
Really depends on how much ganja I have at the time.

Annnnnnd I had a light saber and my friend was there and I said "you look like an indian" and he said "you look like satan" and he found a stick and a rock and he named the rock ooga booga and he named the stick Stick and we both thought that was pretty funny. We got eaten alive by mosquitos but didn't notice til the next day. I stepped on some glass while wading in the swamp and cut my foot open, didn't bother me til the next day either....yeah it was a good time, ended the night by buying some liquor for minors and drinking nips and going to he diner and eating chicken fingers, and then I went home and went to bed.

Once, my friend and I had a blunt roach generation project.

What we did was saved each roach from every joint or blunt that we smoked. Then, when we had about 15-20, we'd smoke a big blunt with them, and then put that roach in a jar. Once we had about 15 of those second generation roaches (we called them "stinkfingers" because of what they do), we'd roll it into a third generation blunt (known as a "stenchfinger"- it seriously was so gooey and brown that it looked like you just finished inspecting your prostate). Anyway, we continued this project for several months, but only smoked a few fourth gen. blunts. Then, it got gross, and we got bored and abandoned that project.

Did potency continually go up, or did it start to go down after a generation, or what?  I've never gone past second generation.

I save my roaches if it is impending that I am not going to have pot soon...  Otherwise I smoke those motherfuckers to the bone!

Honestly, I don't think it got any stronger, but who knows? By fourth generation, you don't even want to see what that roach-weed looks like.

Man there's so many in my kitchen. that's what you get when you live in a city apartment. Those motherfuckers are always scurrying oh wait...

I roll my joints so that the roaches don't have any weed left in them. so there'd be no point in keepin them.

Growing yourself is near surefire.  He said "my pheno[type]" so he probably grows.  Medical dispensiaries usually have the strain names ( though often they are wrong :rolleyes: ).  Failing that, a good dealer should know what they are getting (our "best" consistent quality and price hookup makes a point to ask the people he gets it from because he knows we will ask him what they said it was).  And finally, through the above, over time you gain experience and can learn to recognize certain strains (I've had so much purple and so many varieties, I could point out purple strain even in some mids).
