Dream a little dream with me

I've got a plan B. It seems my plan A isn't really working, so I started thinking about what would actually make me happy, because I've realized, I don't like it here, this climate is killing me, the day to day is driving me mad....so heres my new little dream. If I don't get into my program again this year, which it looks like I won't, I'm going to go work on a cruiseship, I looked into it, I can finish my B.A. online and work on a cruise doing just about anything, I have so much job experience. I'm also going to brush up on my languages (spanish and french, I'll just need refresher courses) and I get paid in U.S. on the ship, I'll have no real expenses, so when I get sick of being on the ship, I'll just stop. I'll pick my favourite port and stop and buy a place with the money I have...and then if I have alot of money, maybe send it to someone who wants it more then I do...cuz really I don't care about the money.

I went to plan B that involves buying a house in Florida, then selling it in 2 years and making 150 thousand profit, then with that buying two houuses and selling them down the road, untill I got the house I always wanted extra cash and no snow, unless I wanna go to Vt or visit the family for the holidays. With that plan I am free to roam, free to do artwork or start a smaller buisness evolving body work, like some sort of healing therapy for those who need it.

I used to work on barges on the French canals, It's great fun I did it on and off for three years, The only problem is working with the same seven people seven days a week, only half a day off, and you go out with the same people to get pissed off you rocker... get way of saving money, in beautiful going 10 kh in the country, it's a different speed from any thing else I've done... You could do that, and you'll have to brush up on your French... they also do it in Holland... but they cheek all the barges that cross the border...

Thats why cruiz ships you get a lot lot more people to work with.

Sounds like a cool idea, Gillette let me know maybe I will jump ship with ya, then when im down by florida i can buy a house. Sound good?

Ideally? I dream of a world where there is a demand for graphic designers again. Plan B? I can't say I have one at this point.

You may even get a tax break if you work outside of US waters.I heard somewhere that the poor bastards {non-military} that work in Iraq are US tax free up to 100K a year??

I'd like to own a none gravity night club. or if that can't happen then just your average cafe, gallery, nightclub, cocktail, sushi on naked virgins, tattoo parlor, bar... you know :cool:

I am so down with that. We could even work for a cruise line who's main port is Miami......I thikn it'd be a great adventure.

yeah I'd be really cool with eventually just owning a little coffee shop. Coffee, sofas, books, magazines, snacks, bands and if I'm lucky that the laws change joints.

Me and my fiancee have a beautiful wedding and go backpacking around europe for a couple of months. We come home, buy a house in the Toronto area. Me and Gill open up a coffee shop/weekend jam club and she takes over for a little while in 2010 while I get impregnated.

Yep. That's the plan.

sounds fun...i knew a DJ that worked cruise ships...id do it...anything that lets me travel and see different places is a ok with me. I say go for it!
