Does anyone have doom 3 for the pc?

I want to play multiplayer
I don't know how it works on Doom with the buddy list, I didn't see one, but if someone wants to play my name is Nacho
i'm not even sure if the name saves

Doom 3 fucking rocked. I bought it (first single player game I've bought in a looong time) and I loved it all the way through. Play it on Hard though, cause medium and easy are like..catatonic easy. Hard was pretty hard though.

Mr Oizo, I still ain't got into DOOM3 the games engine don't want to run that great on my Computer. But for some reason HalfLife2 seems to run way smoother even in DX9 Mode.

Half Life 2 (so I hear from everyone) runs alot better than Doom 3. But I think at higher levels Doom 3 wipes the floor with the Half Life 2 engine. It's just a better engine when it comes down to it.

Well I only have the DEMOS. DOOM3s Engine was built for run better on machines in the future. HL2 runs better on the computers now. I think ID was looking more into the future with their engine and trying to get companies to build games on it.

Anyword on when CS will be availabe on the new HL2 engine? Although I really don't like CS that much. Im more of a Quaker.

CS is already out for the HL2 engine, it is called Counter Strike Source and it looks a lot better. Much better graphics and a better feel for the gameplay. You can move around objects like boxes and barrels and you can pick up grenades that people had when they died, s o if you die without using your flash someone else will pick it up and use it maybe.

I like it, you should check it out.

It's coming out on xbox next month, with an exclusive online co-op mode. Thats the only reason i'm getting it.

Is that CS Source available through STEAM???

Or will I have to do something special with it?

MY nephews have D/Led the HL2 demo through Steam, of course without my permission. that is why I have played it.

Yes, you get CS Source over steam for free when you buy HL2.

You will eventually be able to get Half-Life Source, aka the original game in the new engine, and Day of Defeat Source, which will kick a lot of ass.

HL Source is out already, DOD:S isn't though. Cant wait for that one. I love HL2, bought the game and a new video card the day it came out. Best game ever made IMO. Dunno why theres any discussion about the two. HL2 dominates DOOM 3 in every way. HL2 is scarier then DOOM 3, and that's what DOOM was shooting for, sad. The graphics are superior, the story-line is FAR superior, and the AI is just so much better. By the way I own and have beaten both games so I'm not just spewing hot air here.

Half-Life 2 beats DOOM 3 with its own flashlight.
