newbie questions

I would like a little feed back from some more experienced growers opinion. I'm going to cultivate for the first time and i have ordered two PF syringes(in case the first run is a total foul up, I'll have a second on hand). Which guide is better fort a first timer....Pf tek or MMGG v3.2? and which will give me more productive fruiting...a ultrasonic humidifier or perlite technique? and what is your opinion on each and finally...i have a large pot with a lid i was going to use for sterilization(like a big pot used for cajun cooking, yum...) is this sufficient or should i really invest in a pressure cooker?. i would like to get the best results for my first run.. thanks in advance..

Go with the PF-Tek, it's kinda fool-proof. Perlite is all you need. Your pot should be good enough, but sooner or later you'll want a pressure cooker.

Agreed. I have grown four separate races, and the PFTek has not failed me yet. Perlite keeps me from having to mist as well. One thing I would recommend you do is to case at least 2 of your jars just to try the technique. I did this last time using the simplest casing tek (the one that recommends using a Solo cup--but I just used a little plastic bowl) and got an amazing yield from just 1/2 of a 1/2 pint jar. I'll never go back to growing on cakes again. The shrooms were much bigger and they all grow at once instead of a couple at a time. Much more trippin for a lot less work.
