martha drip pan?
    #3750681 - 02/08/05 11:16 AM (19 years, 1 month ago)

This is a very simple question that I couldnt find anywhere on the site. Do marthas need drip pans, or something at the bottom of them to gather the moisture that is built up from the humidification? Mine is going to be sitting on carpet and I do not want a lot of moisture built up on the carpet underneath of it you know...

a drip pan is a good idea, without it you'll have problems with mold, just make
sure you have a setup for easy drainage and that the pan is larget than the
footprint of the martha

I would buy a cheap plastic shower curtain and place it underneath. Not much water seems to come out, but some does. I never found a pan big enough to sit the martha in.

Are the oil drip pans big enough to sit the martha in? It would have to be atleast 3'x1.5'.

BTW, nice link on the dakota digital cameras!

All you need to do is toss a marble in the Martha and make a small hole where
it stops. Then put a pan under the hole. Use duct tape or putty to seal the leg
holes.

If you have the 30" Martha, as I do, you'll need to get a 3/8" plumbing riser
to use as a drain pipe. Seal it in with caulking.

Like prisoner#1 said, auto parts stores usually have two sizes of the drip pans, the large one is about that size and only about $4
