I got into trouble today in class

In college at that .... I have a folder with pictures of Ken Kesey, Jimmy Hendrix and The Grateful Dead. It also has a quote in it.

"The drugs that played such a big role in his life were never meant as an anesthetic or escape, but as an instrument of exploration"



I was told that it was not alot to have anything to do with drugs in plain view. ... WHAT THE FUCK ?????????

I refused to take it off. My professor said he was going to turn me in to the Dean of Students.

Oh well.

Stay more low key around people like that.  While I agree with free speech and all that, sometimes you gotta have a little restraint if you don't want to advertise your views to non-drug people.  IMO anyway

So you pay thousands of dollars a year and some asshole says you can't have a quote about drugs. Thats pure bs. There is a national association of professors, im not sure what its actual name is, but you should report him to them for trying to limit your freedom of speech. If you go to a state school yuo should also report him to the administration for violation of freedom of speech.

Ah, HORSESHIT! It's not his problem. He's exercising his freedom of speech. That dickhead prof is the one with the problem. If he's offended by that quote, big fuckin deal, he'll get over it. I don't want to seem as if I'm lashing out at you, I just don't agree with keeping a low profile or hiding my views from anyone. Once they get you doing that, they've got you by the balls man. Give em' an inch and they'll take the fucking planet. Hell no, I says. Say what you feel, where you will. I mentioned in my philosophy journal that I had experience with mushrooms, cacti and things of that sort. I was relating it to a chapter on religious drug experience in William James' "Varities of Religous Experiences", so it wasn't completely random.


But yeah, you're in college now, you have the right to think what you want. If she found a joint in your notebook, that would probably be some kind of violation of campus rules. As long as the school you're going to is not extremely conservative, you could probably present your side of it to the Dean. Just do it intelligently and semi-academicly.

I don't get it..

I write surreal fiction surrounding drugs (sometimes just 'regular' surrealism),

I draw pictures of shrooms all over desks, pot leaves everywhere, have open discussions with people about drug use

Smoked a J with one of my English profs


wheretf do you live, Jesusland? I think my classes would jump a professor for flappin their lips like that

This is the guy that's going to be grading your work, so I wouldn't piss him off. Being on good terms with your professors can really help out a lot. Yeah it sucks that the guys a dick, but you should choose your battles wisely.
