calcium question

i was unable to obtain crushed oyster shells, so i got "Hi-cal Grit". I'm just wondering if it would work. it contains Ingredients
Granite grit, oyster shell, calcium carbonate, dicalcium phosphate, salt, charcoal, mineral oil, orange oil, zinc oxide, manganous oxide, ferrous carbonate, copper oxide, calcium iodate, cobalt carbonate.

Guaranteed Analysis
Calcium (min.) 17.5%, calcium (max.) 21%, phosphorous (min.) 0.25%, salt (min.) 2%, salt (max.) 3%.

Can't you just use Caltrate or something from like wal-greens?

i almost bought that grit product myself, but all the extra ingredients worried me (especially the salt, not good for shroomies). check a few more pet shops, i'm sure you can find pure crushed oyster shells, usually boxed as feed supplement for parakeets.

i think the crushed calcium tabs would work ok, but awful expensive
