Intro. & Need a Maitake wedge?
    #3573750 -

Hello Shroomers.
Kudos to all for such an open forum for the discussion of mycology. I have just recently learned about the amazing world under our feet. I am enthralled!!
For the last few weeks I've been reading posts and browsing the archives. Thanks for making all that great info. available, it really is appreciated.
Thanks to ragadinks and others I now have a few prints to work with. I have also grown out a few cultures of G frondosa... I think. I got this by scraping the underside of Maitake (where the tubes are) into a drop of sweet water on MYA w/ H2O2. Had to isolate it but the process seems to work great.
Thankyou peterthinks & Yummymush.
Does anyone know what Maitake is supposed to look like?
This is what turned up in my agar.

As you can see I have several dishes grown out. If you would like a wedge just pm me w/your addy and how to prep it for travel. This is all new to me so will have to get it figured out. :smirk:
Thanks everyone for making me feel so welcome, Bob
