Can anyone point me in the direction of a site that tells me how to make my own one "tomato plant" hydroponic container?

I would check the forums over at Marijuana.com. they have a seprate area for talk on growing tomatos hydroponically, everything from bublers to ebb and flow tables, but your probably looking for a 5 gallon bucket bubbler. they arent to hard to make, all you need is net pots gorw rocks, fertilizers, an air pump a bucket and air stones. hope this helps a little.

Passive system. 1 five gallon paint bucket is reservoir. 1 three gallon paint bucket is the grow bucket. Drill holes in the bottom of the three gallon, put some screen at the bottom, fill with perlite or lava rock, or clay rocks. Or a combination of those. Fill bottom reservoir with enough water and nutrient solution at the right PH, to cover about 2 inches of the grow bucket when it is placed in side the bottom bucket. System works great!!!!!!!! The roots of the plant will grow down into the bottom bucket after a while but it does not drown the plant. The porespace from your grow medium adds enough oxygen space. It is a wick system simplified. Great for herbs, ect.. The larger the plant to be grown, add more quantities of lava rock or clay pellets and less perlite. Definetly will have to Cage the tomatoes.
