Dog Tripping?
    #3669282 - 01/23/05 06:39 PM (19 years, 2 months ago)

I saw on some post somewhere that someone said their dog got into their shrooms (I don't know if they were serious, not that it matter for my question) but, has anyone ever fed shrooms to their dog? if so, what did they act like?

(by the way, I don't condone doing anything like this, I love animals and this could be considered cruelty)

I don't know about Mushrooms, but I had an acquaintance give his dog some acid. All it would do was cower in a dark corner and whimper. It was rather pitiful to say the least. And that poor dog was never the same again... :frown:

Yeah, it is very cruel isn't it. What's even worse is that he thought it was funny. Needless to say, I cut any contact I had with that guy shortly after that. He was a real class A asshole....

One of my dogs ate a half plate of weed brownies off of the counter...poor fucker was so high he couldn't even walk for 15 hours and his eyes looked like Cherry Pits.

He was okay after that, and I hate to say it, but I did laugh at him...mostly because I knew it was only weed and he would be fine.

It's odd that pets seem to have much the common reaction to drugs, whether it be acid or cannabis or mushrooms. They often go whimper and fall in the corner and seem to piss and shit on the floor. For some reason no one's ever told a good story about dogs or cats on drugs, where they walk around the woods with dilated pupils and chase imaginary gnomes

If only humans were that simple.

Unless anyone has any? I'd be interested to know if dogs see dog-like gnome figures when they're tripping

I was trying to get a friend of mine to smoke a joint with me one day. He refused so I said "here, your cat will smoke it with me" and I blew all the hits right into it's nose as he held the cat in his arms. The cat turned his face away the first 2 or 3 times but after that he started leaning into it and inhaling the smoke. Anyways, I finished the joint and he put the cat down then we went inside.

There was a lawn mower under the carport that we had been working on trying to get it to run and that cat climbed up in the seat and laid there for 3 days straight. It didn't move once, not to eat, shit, or anything. We'd shake him around a little and he'd just look up at us with those sleepy eyes as if to say "what the hell do you want?" then put his head back down and drift off to sleep again. He was fine and back to normal after 3 days but he had us scared. I didn't know if he'd ever snap out of it, lol.

Man, I dunno if I'd ever be able to let my dog trip. If he had a bad time like all of the above posts, I'd never feel the same about myself again. It'd just break my heart.

As for getting animals stoned.. it really depends. Blowing a hit or two in their face doesn't seem too bad, so long as they don't mind. My dog loves being around people when they blaze, but he makes a cute/irritated look when I blow any his way so I just don't bother.

i've never lived with a dog before but my old house mates cat was a stoner. [really couldn't avoid it inthe house] she was a tiny cat. she would always show up when someone was smoking then would start purring like crazy and run off somewhere in the house and show up a few hours later....

Seen someone blow some coke in a dogs nose. The dog kept walking around the house. When he finally stopped he went to the person who gave him the coke sat down, looked up at the guy, and seemed like he was coming down and wanted another hit. Another friend has a chihuahua that always barks when you say, "you wanna smoke?". He just chills when he's stoned though. He also likes beer.
