jim morrison was a brilliant songwriter.

I like most doors songs, but the organ turns me off to them

The Doors are ok by me every once and a while. If I hear them to often I really start to hate the music. I don't think I could ever get tired of hearing Jimi though.

I picked Queen, cause they always be rockin.

Jimi is more of the soul playa, Neil more of the love-jammer, and the Doors being completely outta this world, and into mine :smile:

That was tough between the doors, hendrix, and young. At least for me it was. They all have their place in my heart.

I like some of jimis stuff but to be honest the guy rubs me the wrong way and when it comes to guitar playing he was original but rather sloppy and not to my taste

i chose the doors of perception

yea I heard Stevie rays version, pretty good. But voodoo child wasnt really one of my favorite hendrix songs to begin with, plus Id have to give more credit to jimi for writing it

then play Hendrix's Mannish Boy version

that will give you an idea of how incredible jimi was

I used to have live bootlegs of Jimi and he was definitely the greatest, except he had conflict with the Band of Gypsys. I still think Cherry Bomb is better than Jimi though.
