hendrix will always be my favorite. There were other equally skilled guitarists (like 2), but none could convey emotions like he could through it. I can listen to his songs and feel what he felt (or my interpretation of it) when he wrote it, without him speaking a word.

He also writes amazing lyrics and sings with more soul than any other vocalist.

Hendrix is the best

Jimi hands down...truely one of the best guitarist's of all time.

I knew his father Al...he was a very nice man...he died awhile ago.
I used to tell him that I wanted Jimi to be playing Purple Haze when I walked through the Pearly gates...he would laugh at that.
Al's house was broken into in the 80's and all of Jimi's Gold Albums were stolen off the walls...the record company replaced them.  :crazy:

I think that my personal choice would probably be The Doors with Jimi coming in a very close second.

So due to popular demand, I'll do a show dedicated to Jimi and then I'll do another show for The Doors next.

Although Jimi introduced the world to a new type of style on the guitar, I like the Doors better, overall.

the question was "who is your favorite" not who has the most artistic talent. Besides Jimi Hendrix is so fucking overrated it's not even funny. He's just every hippie's generic answer to brilliance.

CherryBomb - a doors one would be cool, though you'll probably have an easier time with hendrix cuz there are just tons of random recordings/live recordings out there floating around.

Actually, I'd have to bit of background research on Jimi.  Very little research is required for a quickie Doors bio.  I just finished reading 'Riders on The Storm' by John Densmore for the second time.  It's all in me noggin.

I'm way more excited for the Doors episode.  :dancing:

that's cool. I like the doors better because their style is more bizarre and the mood is darker. some of it's very psychedelic too.
