where do you hope to be in 5 years?

i guess i'll start. right now i'm studying to be a horticulturist. this means fruit and vegetable production and ornamental plants. i'm looking into joining the peace corps when i graduate. they could really use some good horticulturists. at some point, maybe not within 5 years though, i want to own, operate, and live on a fruit and vegetable farm somewhere quiet. i'd like to raise a family there. i think that would really be the life.

what about you?

I fucked up a job interview on this question.

I said that I didn't know :frown:

I do know though.  I hope to be financially balanced and makiing mortgage payaments (so not really so much on the first one)
I want to own my own home by age 30, no matter what

in 5 years, i hope to be finally gradumatated from college with a degree in foresty & conservation. actually, that should be reality in less than 3 years if i keep going. i'd like to join the peace corps afterwards, don't know exactly what i want to do for a living. raise a nice hippie family and provide for my children, i suppose. i'd like to work for a non profit conservation organization, or some international work possibly :shrug: the sky is the limit

have an electrician apprenticeship finished...

i woul love to get into horticulture/botany (especially discovery of) and herpetology.  or pretty much anything outdoors and to do with nature.  but i dont even have my grade 10.  i fucked around too much in highschool and dont care to go back, so stick with the trade :smirk:  i also would like a house by 30...but probably wont be paid for till 40.



whats your thang with horticulture?  growing/breeding/exploring/researching?  sounds like a bloudy nice way to live if you ask me.

Graduate with my Bio Degree, join the USAF, serve my 20 years, during that time I will have opened an IRA, after I retire I will collect my pension and teach at a high school (hopefully). If I can't teach then I will move to New Zealand and live in the countryside peacefully. After I reach 60 I will collect my IRA and be truly retired. If a family falls into that, which I hope it does, then so be it. The kids will have moved out before the change of country, unless they are like me.... That's a lot more than 5 years, but I had the whole plan already, so why only share 5 years of it?

I hope to have my Master in Aerospace Engineering and join a super cool project like the X-Prize project in the USA. After a few years I hope to fly back to Holland and work for a small commercial space ship development company. Designing your future space ship!

I will live in a large old house, like these:

in the city I live ATM, Utrecht, the Netherlands.

My girl is very beautiful and rich, but most important, we are happy together.

After I become 65 years old. I buy a large house with 5 very good friends. We will live there together until we die. We will hire some beautiful girls to take care of us 24/7. We drink beer, smoke joints, play cards and trip once a month.

Realistically, 5 yrs from now, I hope to be fluent in writing programs that are used in production, with a healthy relationship with exotic materials.

Actually, I'm pretty happy with my life.  I've worked hard to get where I am.  If I am right here in the same place 5 years from now I'll be satisfied. :shrug:

Not to say that I couldn't improve myself along the way, but I am happy with my wife, friends, home, job, etc.  In the meantime I will continue to take vacations all over the world to satisfy my desire to see other places.

in five years, i hope to be an LVN , making 17 an hour, having a trailer or ranch house out on my own 20 acre cow pasture that i bought off osme kindly mexican. i'll live my life there in peace and solitude with my best girl at my side and a few dogs for company. said girl would be a spiritual hippy woman of 30 with the body of a model and the brains of a german physicist. sp all the way.

i know i can at least accomplish the LVN and the trailer. =D
