I feel I could be a good musician. Deep down I have always wanted to play stand up bass. And I like the feelin of havcing my fingers typing on a key pad so maybe a piano or a mammond orgon or what ever it is you got in ur picture.
I have a awsome banjo a guitar a sweet native american style flute and a nice dejembe drum. the guitar and banjo just dont feel right yet.

maybe cuz its not the right instroment for me I dunno. But as I said I have always wanted to play stand up bass.

stand-up bass is great. very difficult to play well - the whole frettless thing means you have to have a very precise touch, or else everything will be off. i've played bass on and off in a few bands (trained as a guitarist, but the fundamentals are the same), but have only played stand-up bass for my own amusement.

once i was way gone on a lot of liberty caps i had picked with a friend, and was playing stand-up bass to a Sigur Ros CD while he played drums with some brushes... good times

I figure that since I can play a mean washtub bassI will be all right. Its all about tthe feelin and computing it to the strings. Yes im a hick. I can play the spoons and washboard also. I think playing standup bass there is a lil more room for erore.

Nice keyboard Jim, what kind of music do you make

I'm a electric bass player but I have tried double bass and yes you need very strong fingers and a good ear!
