:lol: my father is a psychiatrist, and my sister is in med-school and going to specialize in psychiatry. not me, though - i think unless we can fix the massive cultural sicknesses that we seem to be suffering from, psychiatry is just fighting a losing battle. not to mention that an overwhelming number of psychiatrists (my father not included, thank god!) are just whores to the pharmacutical industry. but i guess i have picked up a bit of the lingo and way of thinking from both my father and sister. that or all the Tim Leary and Stanislav Grof that I've read :smile:

Ellemy: Maybe you could try volunteering for a while at an old folk's home, then maybe volunteer at some place to help the homeless.

Personally, I'd want to help the homeless... I'd imagine a lot of them would have really intense stories about what they've been through.. with living on the street and all. It would probably be pretty rewarding for both them and yourself if you helped them get back on their feet, and maybe form some kind of long friendship with them...

I don't know, I think it would be pretty sad to really get to know someone in an old folk's home, then have them die on you.

In any case, it'd probably be a pretty cool experience. :thumbup:

i feel you on that!! i have an intuition of sorts. i can read people pretty good when i first meet them and i can tell, generally, what kind of person they are. i haven't been wrong very many times, either. i also have you in my address book, cause i think that you're kinda neat...and your sig is the shit!!
