lonely eve.
    #3539758 - 12/24/04 03:49 PM (19 years, 3 months ago)

It's a bittersweet christmas for this lonely Jew (only by technicality, not by belief) in New York. I missed out on a chance to spend the weekend with my best friend in Pittsburgh, and my girlfriend's family's X-Mas things are pretty much family only, which i totally respect. But though I'm missing out on those, her family is way too nice to me...they gave me an iPod and this keyboard for X-Mas...I'm about to smoke a fat bowl, order some Thai food, and learn how to play the piano all over again. Those people are way too fucking nice to me. What's everybody up to this evening?

Bored here waiting for the wife to get home from work. We're doing the "Jewish Christmas" thing tomorrow (seeing a movie for those wondering). We're not Jewish, just unable to make it to the family get-togethers this year.

Your night sounds pretty good to me what w/bowls, thai food and all.

That midi station is a good start for you on your way to making your own music.

Totally man, that's the goal...I spent the whole way back into the city from Westchester on the train listening to Shpongle for the ol' inspiration and grinning at the huge box I got to carry...I'm gonna break it out once I'm finished with this chicken. It's been a logn time (more than ten years) since these fingers last tickled ivory (or plastic, in this case).

Hmmm I dunno, I just got my hands on the MP3's on a friend's computer the other day and burnt them on to a CD which is all I've got of them now.

Thank goodness you asked that question after I got stoned, and not before. What can I say. The CD is a trip, definitely. I've listend to select tracks at select moments but it is a headphones-required psychedelic trip contained with a spinning CD. The sounds are designed to pet your brain - someone wrote that last sentence in an Amazon review and hit it exactly right. When I'm stoned and I listen to Shpongle in headphones it's as if I feel this Shpongle helmet surrounding my head, and you can pinpoint sounds travelling along certain routes through your skull and your gray matter. It's fucking awesome!

Just Eyeballing my new PS2 SLimline in the corner. My parents aren't bothering to RAP it since I pretty much had to tell them where to go and get it, and I was with them too.

Doesn't Adam Sandler have a song about Jews on Christmas. Also Kyle from South Park has that Lonely Jew on Chrismas song too. I dunno, if it helps I hope a REAL MISTER HANKEY jumps out of the Toilet tonight to Brighten your MOOD.

If you are going to smoke a Bowl, you should listen to some reggae music too, www.reggaeshow.com.

Depends on your mood...I think what any music does to you is half the music and half you.

I don't know. It spaces me out and inspires me at once too.

Gonna go plug my keyboard in.

You have inspired me to roll a Christmas joint, my lonely friend! I, too, will likely spend most of the night here on this little website

Cheers, eh!

 i've always wanted to ask that as well. and say "PROPS ON THE HAIR!!!" too. i used to be in a band with a guy who had hair like that. we all called him "afro-man" and "afro-josh" and it really pissed him off. so he cut the fro, and has refused to grow it since then, just to spite us all.  :tongue2:
