manure experiment

I have a few cakes in my terrarium that were a bit of an experiment. I ran out of brf while I was mixing up the batch, so I tried to improvise. I used about 1/4 cup of vermiculite, 1/4 cup of brf, and 1/4 cup of Hoffman's cow manure. The cakes colonized fine, but after 10 days in the terrerium, no pins.

Anyone every try anything thing like this with good results? Did I make the shroom gods angry by straying from the winning formula? Anyone know what to expect?

Yea hoffman's is good "shit"... you'll have good results. Monkeys around here have noticed that manure/dung producess very large(i'm talking about quantity here) pinsets. I don't know why more people dont use it. peace
