here is the deal...

i run a phpnuke site... and im not happy with the BB ( phpbb2) because its stock, and none of the mods/hacks for a reg phpbb2 work, because its ported into the nuke site.

I was thinking of getting a ubb.threads board and trying to port it into the nuke site.. ( which would also be a lot of work) I have posted asking for a how-to on the threadsdev.com site.

I noticed from a few of the ubbthread sites, their "entrance" page closely resembles a nuke site w/ blocks, modules, articles etc.

What i am wanting to know is, is there a lot of add ons / mods to the entrance page?
I have checked infopop from top to bottom, but they dont mention the entrance ( at least not that i can find ) , so i come to you since you deal with this type of sight everyday........ feel free to pm me

Hey -

The entrance page you're talking about isn't part of the stock BB, it's a modification which is available free from ThreadsDev. However to be honest I would not recommend UBBThreads if you are looking at switching BB software. It lacks many features which are available in similar products and its development is being discontinued after version 6.5.x. You may want to check out vBulletin or Invision Power Board which are the best forums at the moment in my opinion. You can find many third party modifications for both of them, like with UBBThreads.

Thanks! i will check both of them out.... i would keep the phpbb2 if i could find some good mods( i had about 25 picked out before i found they wouldnt work) Tho from a support board, i did find a site portedmods.com, that has about 10 of the mods i wanted for the ported boards.

I run an Invision Power Board and I'm pretty satisfied with it so far.. check out the portal/entrance page here.. it's very customizable. And still fairly new.. they just upgraded from beta. I don't have much (read:any) experience with vBulletin but I hear that's pretty good too.
