eh, i liked the old entrance

what happened to the entrance where you could shout and look at 'important' shroomery news? made this place feel more um home-like? maybe not the best way to describe it, but it was a nice feature.

Hmm, my guess would be it took a lot of system resources so it was probably disabled until the server upgrade is complete.

But I'm not sure.

I don't think that is the case. I haven't been able to access it for many months. I mentioned this before but never got a response.

Well, I was waiting for a tech to come in here and explain - but my impression is that the Entrance page was removed when we shut down the new user registration and annonymous viewing since it wouldn't work correctly under those conditions... or something like that. :confused:

I really don't know - but that's my educated guess :grin:

It's a combination of both really. When we had new user registrations turned off and forums hidden, the entrance page couldn't really handle that. There were also some technical problems with the way it cached information. It will hopefully return in the future.
