Come to the HotShops, all those in the Omaha area!
    #3428232 -

If any of you are free this Saturday and live anywhere near Omaha, I'd suggest going to the HotShops  Open House . There is a ton of cool artwork there, and it's free to the public. Myself and a few other shroomery people plan on attending, and we're always fun to meet and hang out with  So if any of you are interested, feel free to PM me for more info.

Hope to see some of you there!

Yeah, the HotShops open house is a great event. There is an art glass studio, a blacksmith forge, a tile & ceramic studio, and some bronze casters all in one building, along with several art galleries. The second and third floors of this building are leased out to area artists needing studio space.

This is their big open house where all the artists are there showing off their art and the Glassblowers and smithies are giving demonstrations all day long.

Hope some more of you can make it. You can lurk there, too -- HA! :-)

Lurkers are always welcome to get lost in the crowd  It really is a great event, and even if you can't go this year (I realize it was short notice) put it on your calendar for next year if you are anywhere near the area of Omaha, Nebraska. It really is a good time, and well worth the car trip. Great source for Christmas gifts too

PEACE

"in times of widespread chaos and confusion, it has been the duty of more advanced human beings - artists, scientists, clowns, and philosophers - to create order. In such times as ours however, when there is too much order, too much m management, too much programming and control, it becomes the duty of superior men and women and women to fling their favorite monkey wrenches into the machinery. To relieve the repression of the human spirit, they must sow doubt and disruption"

The HotShops were great, and we all had a smashing time! Lots to see and appreciate, including new artists and some we remembered from last year. Truly worth the trip out if any of you would like to go next year
