Hi, I searched the internet and couldn't find a list of famous people who took shrooms regularly.  I am writing a paper on it and I thought if I could include famous people who used them it would be a nice addition. Peace, thanks  :cool:

Maynard James Keenan (singer for Tool) has commented on using psilocybin.

Bill Gates has discussed his LSD use in at least one interview or book.

Alan Watts is another well respected tripper.

Tori Amos has talked about Ayahuasca.

Um....I dunno who else off the top of my head. My guess is anyone well known and innovative in art or music, but some of them could just be crazy I guess.

Hmm...The Beatles? Grateful Dead? Janis Joplin? A lot of that was LSD, but I'm sure the shrooms made some rounds through that circle as well.

The lyrics of Tool's Reflection seem to be a reference to the ego-loss experience. Anybody know anything for sure on that? So yeah, I'm thinking maynard is in to psychadelics.

the allman brothers band was really into shrooms. have you seen their album artwork? on the inside of the "eat a peach" l.p. there is a lot of mushroom inspired work. i would say its a fair bet to say most of the bands from the late 60s early 70 were doing shrooms not to mention so much acid.
