Wireless Webcam

Hey guys,

I thought someone with some extra cash might find this interesting. Ive been using it for a while, just because im obssesive compulsive like that LOL  :smile:

Its mounted to the lid on one of my 100 gallon PmPs, its good for checking growth 24/7 with a live stream to my comp upstairs. It also allows me to have an opaque container and see the humidity and temp stats without opening the lid. It also allow you to edit the video for the whole grow and watch it sped up to see how the grow progressed all the way through which is really fun. Thought I would share. Its pricey, but heres the one I use.

That was weak, I thought that link was going to be the cam in action  :mad2:.  Just messing with you, that's a cool idea, I would like to see one of the edited videos in the future.

I've been thinking of doing this myself, only with a cheap laptop and a normal webcam hooked up... or even a digital camera set to take a picture every 30 minutes.

Yeah, I thought about doing that too - and putting the camera in my my buddies grow house. My reason for putting a camera there is not to check humidity or temp, but to check for people. Wouldn't that be bad ass security to post a motion detector web cam on the Internet, so you could see if any perpetrators were trying to ruin your good fun - Before you got to the grow house....

I read about a camera logitec is developing that will be wireless, that may even cost under 100.00. I dont know if th earticle is online or just in the magazine but if I find something Ill be sure to post that also.

No sense in making the Poor mans Pod too expensive.

thanks for the link magnus nice vid, but the pin set sucked on that casing. and yeah i agree that the money spent on the camera could have been spent on better things, but i have to agree after seeing the vid of some time laps i would buy one to if i had the extra cash.

But spending 100$ on a cam with the statement that PMP is to expensive I have questionmarks! :wink:
