Why is poo so resistant to comtams?

How come with all those nutes it still remains pretty resistant to contam?

Also, what is the minimum soaking time for grain?

Most recommend "overnight", 8-12 hours.

when you do bulk, you pasturize the poo/straw. you don't kill all of the stuff in there and the good bacteria keep other contaminates at bey until it's all colonized.

i don't think it's really that resistant, i've heard it's less resistant than casings and if you're not very sterile, it can contam quite easily.
