Its illegal. However, when its sold from other countries it tends to be in a nice normal tea box with normal tea packets. It might get stopped, but I wouldn't worry if you aren't importing a ton. They'd most likely just not let the package reach you. Just an opinion.

I ordered this from a Peruvian site online. It was opened by customs and passed through. It makes a green tea. Very tasty. I enjoyed the mild stimulation. About the same as mild coffee but smoother. It won't give you a coke high, I really don't know why it's illegal, its nothing like doing lines. There are lots of sites that sell it.

the law in ussa says coca tea is big no-no...
but customs doesn't seem to want to bother fuk'n with you over small quantities...
(small quantities of herbal material --- a few hundred grams or so, maybe(?); of course, white powder would set tend to make them pay a call on you... but teabags, instant powdered leaf for tea, and even whole dried leaf, & coca caramel candies all seem to get shipped OK from S.A. to USSA...)

ummm, or so i am told...

the tea is good for altitude sickness, upset tummies, sexual exhaustion, and as a diet aid... and as a "cure for cocaine addiction"!
the candy, well, very ummmm green-tasting...
the instant powder is ground-up green leaf...
and the whole dried leaf is, well, whole dried leaf...

& leaf powder, whole leaf, or even teabags, when well-moistened with a mildly alkaline solution (easiest is baking soda & water) & a gram or three chewed well for a few minutes, will almost certainly cause a numbing of the tongue & lips... and another chaw (say 15 minutes later) will cause that numbing to spread to your whole face... and yet another chaw will cause that "lift" to heart, mind, and spirit that one has come to expect... and it lasts for an hour or two...


alkaloid content of commercial mate de coca leaf is reported to be between 0.5 --> 1.5 % (with several other alkaloids besides cocaine, as well as vit C, polyphenols, & like 17% protein (so, yes, you can swallow instead of spit :wink: ...)

Hmmm...I think you just convinced me to order some more. I just used it as a tea. This chewing method sounds good.  :laugh:  I think I'd like to get some khat too.

How much baking soda do you use for the quid?

i think i'd like to get some khat too, hehheh...

ummmmm, i just put like a teaspoon in a quarter cup of water & soak the teabags for maybe 5 minutes & then just put the bag in my mouth & chew - if you're careful you can treat it like oneof those little packets of snuff & not even break open the bag, but a little paper won't hurt you if it breaks)(discarding string & tag :wink: )
same deal for the whole leaf - moisten & then chew...
with the instant cocatea powder i mix a pinch of bicarb into the green leaf powder & then add just enough water to form a paste & scoopp it out with a spoon & sorta mooosh it around my gums & under my tongue & sometimes i spit & sometimes i swallow, heh... the age old question, eh?)

& sometimes i will gargle with some of the bicarb solution before i put the herb into my mouth...

& it makes you wanna WAKE UP man...

Ahh, it doesn't do shit. I used to steep 20 bags with soda and drink it. It just makes one a bit jumpy and headachy. Don't waste your money.

It won't make you high but it will provide a stimulation in every way superior to coffee. But that's one teabag not 20 eve!

My dad went to peru a few years ago and brought over 2kg of leaf. They're long gone and i miss a good cup of coca tea.

If i knew a/b back then i would have turned 1 of the kilos into cocaine though :crazy2:...Just to get a taste of real cocaine.

What Chunterating bullcrap! Coca is wonderful used supplementally and therapeutically, use between 2-5g (a big three-fingered pinch) vary the strength depending on usage and enjoy! You can cook with it, chew it (best mixed with lime -as in "stone"- and ash) and as an alcohol extraction drunk with the spirit. It mixes excellently with psilocybin/psilocin and marijuana. Give it a while friend, for new users try several strong cups over a two/three day period -not everything gets you high instantly you know-.

Tea Method for most ethneogens and fungi: Boil a saucepan of water on the stove add substance and continue to boil briefly to open the pores and capillaries -vary the length of time of the initial boil depending on the "toughness" of the substance (eg. coca-leaf=quick maitake=slower !)- and then simmer from between 10-25 minutes or so, again depending on the substance. Try to develop a "feel" for the process!

Caution: However not all substances that look like they can be boiled should be, Kava and Baby Woodrose do not seem to be amenable to boiling (any comments anyone ?) and may actually become poisonous if they are.
