Does anyone besides me think these folks on Fear Factor are downright stupid to do this kinda shit? I just watched some people eat live potato bugs....the damn thing are huge.

I dunno maybe some people arent as squeamish as myself, but it just doesnt seem worth 50k...

Yummy.. potato bugs.. kinda disgusting, but I'd give it a go for 50k. It's not like I'd die.
I think the taste would the worst part to overcome, and second the chewing.

shit potato bugs.. that's nothing compared to some of the other stuff they've made people eat

things I can remember:

a cod sack covered with ants
rotten squid covered with flies
live locusts
live sand crabs

remember the fear factor shake? that was probably the nastiest thing ever.. they took maggots, cow eyeballs, pig intestine, pig brain, and a couple other things and blended them all together and the people had to drink an entire huge cup of it out of a straw

I think the feeling of chewing down a bug would be worse then the actual taste....but cow tounges? Thats all together something different... I`m not saying that if I were on the show I wouldnt try it, but hell I doubt I could do it.

The worst thing I`ve ever seen them eat was unhatched duck fetuses...that I dont even think I could try.

I don't think I've ever seen them make people eat raw beef... but they sure do make people eat all kinds of shit that could make you sick as fuck.. the raw, rotten squid covered with flies made me think WTF?? how can they do that.. the person didn't eat it though..

They have to sign a disclaimer before they go on the show I'm sure

yeah some of the things I could handle eating.. potato bugs don't sound too bad..
but it's not like you eat one bite and win.. they usually give you a huge thing to eat and you have to eat it all within the time limit..
it's the stuff with pincers, claws and exoskeletons I think I wouldn't be able to handle.. eating live.. ack

Oh dont be mistaken...the potato bugs had large ant like jaws and didnt go down without a fight. The people found they had to first bite of the heads so it wouldnt bite the inside of their cheeks.

I would do any of the shit of fear factor for $50000 - 50 grand's alot of money for a week of work, no matter how unpleasant.

But it'd really suck to do all that shit and get nothing.
