my wife has never given me any sort of ultimatum.

she knows who I am and I know who she is.

she smokes and trips, but is equally responsible.

if you have no intentions of continuing with these
things in the future, then drop them and be with
this person.

but I'm guessing you're probably still young, don't
really want to stop smoking or tripping and are
trying to keep the free tail around.

you can find girls that are accepting without having
to date party girls.

I am doing very well for someone my age, how many other 23 year olds make 45 grand a year? Im not bragging because my job isnt permanate, but its definatly a stepping stone to my goal of saving money and buying real estate and getting into that as my own personal business.

Ok Billy here's what I'm getting from this.

You love her very much, and she loves you.  Now here's where I'm running into problems.  You like smoking/tripping and would like to continue it, but she dislikes weed/mushrooms very much.  She wants you to change who you are, but you do not ask her to change anything.

I think you need to reason that with her, that she fell in love with you and everything about you.  Every experience you've had in life, including your days smoking weed and tripping on mushrooms have made you who you are today, without those experiences you could perhaps be someone completely different who she didn't fall in love with.  If she loves you (it's not even a question of if, I'm sure she does love you) then she should allow you your hobbies, or perhaps read into them herself, she may find herself interested.  Afterall, the human psyche is a very interesting thing :wink:

Do not dose her without her knowledge, that's just asking for problems.

Make it known this is very important to you, and share some factual information with her about what mushrooms do to you, how they work, and that they are basically harmless on your body.  Make it clear that you do not expect her to eat mushrooms with you, but it would be alright with you if she did.  Tell her you love her.

Thanks for the kickass advice with my woman, it was lucid, clear, heartfelt and well thought out... i really appreciate your input and it has given me something to think abuot a little more. I will try you suggestion for sure. Thanks again. :smile:

I think everyone is right on this in their own regard (except for the idiots telling you to dose her without her permission) try to reason with her to the best of your abilities, don't try to force anything down her throat, just be civil and understanding listen to her concerns and rebute them to the best of your ability :smile:.

However, if she refuses to hear any of it and doesn't listen to your side of things and demands that you change, don't! Explain to her that you're not going to change just because she demands it, try to explain that you don't demand her to change so you don't expect to change yourself. Don't break up with her but make that clear and see where she takes it, if she's irrate over it then I hope you know where to go from there
