Double Shroom

Ok i went hunting last night to find some personals and enjoy the cool clear weather in marion florida. The cubes are still growing so what the hell. Well i came across a good number for me to have som fun this evening, well one of the ones i picked was a little odd. It looks like two mushies growing together as one. It has two parallel stems and a double cap.





I pulled the stems apart at the base to show that there is two of them. They were fused all the way up the stem to the cap, which looks like two merging circles.

Anyone else come uppon cubes doing this. Im eating it anyway but its a cool shroom. :grin: :mushroom2:

I've seen this happen with Cyans recently. Did you by chance find them near a Nuclear Power Plant? :grin:

i haven't seen a double cubensis before but i have seen a twin of a species on school property after hurricane ivan - i couldn't really id them and the fact that i was in front of everyone at school was a problem too. :smile: cheers

looks like the mushrooms combined. take into account the shape of the cap and the way the stem is formed.

Naw it's definately a siamese shroom. Look at the shape of the cap.

Looks like he just split the stem down the middle. I mean, he did, but, I dont know what it looks like before.

They were quite fun, just returning. MMMM mushies. I did split them but there were two fused stems, kinda wrong pic, but its too late to re-shoot them. Oh well.
