ok i just did my very first karo jar and it is going really well, so i will tell all exactlly what i did incase a newbie like me wants to do it. i put 150 ml of water into a pot let boil. i put 2 tsp. of karo light corn syrup in a pf style jar. after the water get to a boil then poured it into the jar, i quickly placed a layer of saran wrap over it screwed on lid then put another layer of saran wrap over the lid then another layer of saran wrap on top of it. shook it up real good and let sit for 30 minutes, put in fridge for an hour took out and inoculated with B+. to inoculate i lifted the top layer of saran wrap and inoced through the first 2 layers. i put in incubator at 87F. and one day later there is mycelium growing and no signs of contam. its not alot of mycelium but it is a very noticable amount. thats all there was to it hopefully someone can use this to benefit them. peace

oops posted in wrong spot. for some reason i thought i was in the growing forum ill leave it here just for shits and giggles unless the mods move it. but hey mods just delete if you want im posting it in the growing forum.

I've also had success mixing 100ml of water with 2 tsp of karo in small jar, microwaving for 1 minute, letting cool, and innoculating. Its never failed me.
