Wow, coming from the queen of hysteria, non sequiturs and irrationality... that means nothing, sort of like getting a mongoloid's opinion about a theory of quantum physics.

To call humans 'rational beings' does injustice to the term, 'rational.'  Humans are capable of rational thought, but it is not their essence.  Humans are animals, beasts with complex brains.  Humans, more often than not, utilize their cerebrum to rationalize what their primal instincts, their preconceived notions, and their emotional desires have presented as goals - humans are rationalizing beings.

Apparently, you have no clue as to the term 'human nature.' You have even less of a clue as to the motivations and mind sets of those who get into law enforcement. I was referring to the type of people who are attracted to law enforcement as a career. You... well you splatter bullshit on the wall and tell everyone it looks like the Mona Lisa.

I like the way these statements illustrate your ability to come to a well reasoned conclusion. Ignorance is not a good vantage point from which to defend one's opinion.

Police are the maggots of society. They support unjust laws and act as if they are gang leaders ruling the neighborhood. They have superiority complexes and are condescending to civilians. They profit from the misfortunes of others and they hate freedom. Most cops wish the constitution didnt exist so their police state could increase infinitely in power. Being a cop is a choice. Nobody forces them to do it. The only way I can see someone wanting to be a cop is either the desire to kill someone legally, or if they support unjust laws. You cant be a cop and not support the laws you are enforcing. Cops are scum and maggots.

whew. some people need to wake the hell up. try living anywhere else in the world and see what the cops do when there is a riot.

I dont know if you are aware or not but in England we have had a big problem with violence at football matches and to my knowledge the police have not killed one person when dealing with these incidents.

He may of been doing his job and accidents happen, but its no excuse for the taking of a human life. At worst the cop should be reprimanded for his actions, I guarantee though the victims family will sue the new york police department for gross negligence and wrongful death and make a mint.

There is no excuse for the taking of a human life. Even if it was an accident and the cop was doing his job. You take a human life and you will have to put your feet to the fire.

just to note, the police department has taken responsibility for the killing. The freaked out cop who opened fire randomly at a crowd is to blame...

Quote:
Brett Schweinberg, an 18-year-old Emerson College freshman, said he was standing 20 feet from Snelgrove when, he said, she was shot on a Lansdowne Street sidewalk across the street from the Green Monster.

"I think [the officer] hit several people, but she got hit in the face," said Schweinberg, who said he, too, was struck by the pelletlike projectiles. "People started running away. She fell down. I moved in for a closer look. She was bleeding out of the nose."

He said the shooting started after someone in the Lansdowne Street crowd threw a bottle at police. It landed near a mounted officer and the crash startled the horse, he said. Another officer turned around, Schweinberg said. "He started shooting the crowd. He shot like a 6-foot area. I think he hit several people. But she got shot in the face. He opened fire in the area of the crowd where he felt the bottle came from."

Leif Anderson, 25, of East Boston, corroborated that account. From atop a nearby parking garage, he said he saw the same officer, from 20 feet away, fire at Snelgrove moments after the bottle crashed near the mounted officer.

"He turned around and immediately fired his gun leveled at head level," Anderson said. "He fired two rounds in extremely quick succession, and the girl immediately dropped. All her friends were around her. They were screaming. And people got very angry at that point."

no chromosome defect short of anencephaly would make someone so deficient as to fail to recognize you as a prick...

Human nature is what it is. The basics do not change in 20 years. History, not the inane ramblings of a hysterical PMS striken leftist citing the work of one man, is a better guide of this. The point that eludes you is that I was not orginally referring to 'human nature,' but to the types of personalities of those who go into police work. I also made the point that there are those who fall out of the average range.

Quote:
EDIT ..and it doesnt matter what that killers background was..he was clearly one of those twits john powers was writing about..as are you...

Just to clarify... Don't make the asinine assumption that since I disagree with your ignorant appraisals of the mental states of those you've never met, never worked with and never studied that I condone the actions of this police officer. Anyone who is capable of rational thought processes will understand how this is possible. However, those who burp up undigested clumps of mental pablum from hormone clouded masses of disorganized neural connections will have trouble grasping such things. Unfortunately, you do not fall under the first category.
